The study, by researchers at Johns Hopkins University, surveyed more than 7,500 people who ordered rice at a variety of grocery stores in the U.S. in a bid to understand the differences between rice sold in supermarkets and those delivered by restaurants.
The results showed that while many of those surveyed preferred the taste of rice in supermarkets, many consumers also were concerned about the cost of food.
Rice can be very expensive in the United States, as a percentage of U.K. food purchases.
In fact, a recent study by the International Rice Research Institute found that U.N. statistics show that, in the past decade, Americans spent an average of $3.16 per kilogram of rice, up from $1.85 in 2002.
For those who prefer fresh, cheaper food, however, the cost is even higher.
And the results showed Americans were skeptical of rice’s nutritional value, too.
The researchers, led by Richard J. Gendreau of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, looked at the taste and health claims of more than 500 rice brands, which included a variety that was either prepared by an American or a Chinese company.
They found that the taste was generally described as “chewy,” “slightly bitter,” or “not sweet.”
But when the researchers looked at claims about how much rice a dish is made of, it became clear that the rice was really made of more complex carbohydrates.
Many of the rice products were packed with high-fructose corn syrup, which has been linked to obesity and diabetes, according to the report.
And it’s not just Americans who are skeptical.
A survey conducted by the Institute of Food Technologists found that nearly 70 percent of respondents thought that rice was generally “good” or “very good” for us, but that a large number of them believed the food to be “poor.”
According to the survey, Americans also thought that the food was generally nutritious, but they thought it was made of a mixture of carbohydrates, which may contribute to its high cost.
Some Americans also said they would prefer rice without added sugar, while others said they preferred rice that didn’t contain any of the sugars.
“We think there’s an underlying cultural perception that rice is something that we can’t eat,” said Gendères, who is also the study’s lead author.
“It’s not a cheap food.”
The study also found that many people were not aware that there are many different types of rice and that a rice brand may contain different ingredients and textures.
While consumers tend to assume that a variety with a distinctive shape, such as a rice bowl or a rice grain, is “good for you,” they are also often unaware that the majority of rice is made from a combination of ingredients that are not necessarily healthy.
In a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in 2014, the authors found that, even though many of the foods they surveyed were labeled as “healthy” by the American Dietetic Association, many of them were actually high in sugar and calories.
Genders are also key in the debate over rice.
“A lot of people think that all rice is the same thing, but it’s actually not,” said Karen Giese, a food scientist at the University of Texas at Austin who studies the food habits of Americans.
“Many types of grains are not really healthy, so when people talk about rice being good for you, they’re really not thinking about what’s actually in the rice.”
She added that the perception of rice as a health food has changed over time, and that people may not know that most rice is not “good,” as many consumers believe.
“They think, ‘Oh, it’s healthy for me,’ and when they look at the ingredients and see how they’re processed and the process, they think, it tastes good,” Gieses said.
Some rice-eating habits have also changed.
In the past, many American households ate rice as part of a meal, and Americans often went to restaurants to eat rice and other foods such as beans, pasta, and bread.
But today, most Americans also eat fast food, including sushi, and even have a tendency to buy “quick” foods that are packaged with convenience items such as frozen foods and frozen vegetables.
That means, for example, that some Americans may opt for fast food without realizing that it contains sugar, which is considered a health risk.
In addition, the amount of rice a person eats has changed.
“Fast food and packaged food are becoming increasingly the same,” Griese said.
“When we eat packaged food, we are eating processed foods and fast food.”
In addition to the issues associated with rice, the study also revealed that some people do not eat enough rice.
